Description

A creamy, one pot smoked sausage pasta recipe ready in under 30 minutes. Rich, easy, and perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

2 tbsp olive oil

14 oz smoked sausage, sliced

1 medium onion, chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 cups chicken broth

1 (14 oz) can diced tomatoes

½ cup heavy cream

½ tsp black pepper

8 oz dry pasta (bow tie or penne)

1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

1. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Add sliced sausage and onions, cook until browned.

2. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds more until fragrant.

3. Pour in broth, diced tomatoes, cream, and black pepper. Stir to combine.

4. Add dry pasta. Ensure it’s submerged in liquid. Bring to a low simmer.

5. Cook uncovered for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.

6. Turn off heat. Stir in cheese until melted. Serve warm.

Notes

For a lighter version, use turkey sausage and half-and-half.

Add fresh spinach or frozen peas in the last 5 minutes for extra veggies.

Store leftovers in the fridge up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of broth.
